石部巧、Chappyから成るアートユニット。
2006年結成。絵を描く事を中心に、グラフィックデザインやイラスト、コラージュ、最近ではシルクスクリーンの作品、Tシャツなどの製作を開始。
*今回の展示「BEYOND 2BLKS」では、各々“気持ちのよいライン”がテーマ。初の共同作品もあり２人が今まで描いてきたものとは違う『向こう側』を目指した。*

Takuma Ishibe:
東京で生まれ、１４歳の時にNYのグラフィティカルチャーに衝撃を受け、そこから絵を描き始める。
２４歳でNYへ渡り、バイクメッセンジャーをしながらアートスクールに通う。 2006年に帰国し、ペインティングを中心に活動。
Born in Tokyo, Japan.
Inspired by a wide variety of sources ranging
from New York graffiti culture to Japanese manga,
Takuma Ishibe began painting at the age of 14.
When he turned 24, he left Japan for New York City
where he worked as a bike messenger during
the day while attending the National Academy School of Art at night.
Now, back in Tokyo, he continues to produce art
with a strong focus on painting.
Chappy:
横浜生まれ。１７歳の時に横尾忠則にあこがれを持ち、武蔵野美術大学に進学.写真やグラフィックデザインを学ぶ。
卒業後独自に絵を描き始め、筆ペン、アクリル、コンテ、パステルなど様々な画材を使い人物を中心に絵を描いている。

Born in Yokohama, Japan.
Influenced by the vivid collages of Japanese artist Tadanori Yokoo,
chappy began producing art at the age of 17.
At 19 she entered the Musashino Art University,
where she studied various artistic mediums including photography
and graphic design.
Upon graduating, she took the human figure as her focus,
working with a range of materials including pastel,
acrylic paints and Japanese calligraphy brushes.
